The Association of Event Venues (AEV) and the Virtual Events Institute (VEI) have formed a strategic partnership to deliver knowledge and education on digital and hybrid events to help upskill event organizers in the UK.
The VEI provides training and education for event professionals and marketers on virtual and hybrid events. Since launching in July 2020, the VEI has certified more than 1,800 event professionals as part of the VEI Certification Program. The online training program comprises 11 on-demand modules, providing a step-by-step guide for all event disciplines, across sales, marketing, content, and operations.
The AEV is the trade association representing the interests of UK and international event venues.
Speaking about the partnership, AEV director Rachel Parker, said: “VEI has developed an excellent framework to deliver quality learning resources on hybrid and virtual events, and I’m confident this partnership will be a great asset to our members.”
Sophie Ahmed, co-founder and chief executive officer of VEI, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a pioneering association. The VEI Certification Program will help AEV members to up-skill and grow their businesses and communities to meet the demands of an always-on future of events.”
VEI also has established partnerships with Informa Markets, UFI, MPI UK&I, AEO, EVCOM, Soundings Connect, EMA, and will be announcing further partnerships in the coming months.
