The Virtual Events Institute and New Model Army, the initiative created by esprecruitment and tfconnect to help support the event industry during the Covid-19 crisis, have announced a strategic partnership to help deliver training and certification in virtual events to a cohort of event professionals whose jobs have been made redundant.
The training will be delivered to two cohorts, one receiving the full 10 module Virtual Event Professional certification and the other having access to personally selected modules from the certification programme. There are a limited number of places available and Interested #opentowork event professionals should apply through the New Model Army LinkedIn page
Speaking of the partnership, New Model Army co-Founder Liz Sinclair said, “There is a significant need for event professionals to understand the different demands and expertise required to deliver virtual and hybrid events. As our industry re-shapes and responds to the coronavirus pandemic equipping people with technical knowledge and digital skills means we are providing appropriate support in the immediate and longer-term. This partnership is an important piece in that process.”
Virtual Events Institute CEO Sophie Ahmed, commented, “NMA is a fantastic initiative and we are delighted that this partnership will help address some of the challenges the event industry currently faces. Virtual and hybrid events have a different skill set to physical events, but one that event professionals can quickly learn and adapt to.
